The Sunrise School of Miami is currently hiring a multifaceted Gardening teacher who is capable of envisioning and nurturing an integrated Gardening program at our school with the support of our community and faculty. In addition to teaching and maintaining a garden, the candidate should be able to integrate fund-raising activities with the students’ gardening class, coordinate garden planting and maintenance within the community, identify and acquire grant funding, and provide artistic and cultural activities to educate the feeling life of the students. We look forward to receiving applications from individuals with these qualities and others to join our faculty. Knowledge of biodynamic techniques are valued, but not necessary.
First Grade Teacher 2015-2016
On the verge of graduating our sixth group of Eighth Graders, Sunrise School of Miami is in a unique stage of growth. Our faculty-based leadership endeavors to work with the greater impulses surrounding the school, and in so doing has ushered in many great changes, while attracting highly qualified individuals of both stature and renown to our ranks.
We are therefore currently seeking individuals capable of continuing to shepherd in a new era at the school by working in collaboration with the impulses that already exist here.

Our ideal candidate will have Waldorf teacher training and an ample understanding of Anthroposophy. Spanish as a Second Language Teacher (part time/full time)
We are seeking a part time/full time energetic and creative teacher for our Spanish language program. Our new Spanish teacher will be taking over a well-established Spanish as a Second Language program that has been in place for 10 years.
The ideal candidate would have Waldorf teaching experience or demonstrated abilities in the application of a Waldorf program; should be a native Spanish speaker, have a Bachelor’s degree and a commitment to professional growth. Classroom teaching experience and enthusiasm for bringing an engaging, artistic approach to teaching a second language are also essential. Other important requirements are proven organization skills and successful contributions as part of a team.

After School Care Assistant
The After School Care assistant will work five days per week from 3:15 pm to 5:15 pm. This hourly position is for approximately ten hours per week during the academic year and pays $11.00/hour. Minimum of one year commitment is needed. This is an excellent opportunity to get a feel for our community and a sense of children of all ages. Responsibilities include assuring the safety and security of the children during after care hours and supporting the lead teacher.
