Each year at Sunrise School of Miami, every class brings a play to life—and it is a deeply meaningful part of the curriculum ✨ Through the process of rehearsing and performing, students develop confidence, memory, speech, presence, collaboration, and the ability to work together as a unified class. They learn to project their voices, embody characters, memorize lines, and step courageously into performance. At Sunrise School of Miami, Screen-Free Week is more than a yearly event—it has been part of our everyday rhythm for over 20 years 🌿 Long before “digital detox” became a trend, we chose to protect childhood by creating spaces where imagination, movement, creativity, and human connection could flourish without screens. Here, children spend their days building forts, creating stories, climbing trees, painting, gardening, crafting, singing, exploring nature, and engaging deeply with the world and with one another. From the music and delicious food to the children’s activities, the Maypole dances, and the puppet show, the day was filled with laughter, connection, and lasting memories for our families.
